Shadows

February 2nd was Ground Hog's day.  We used this day to review the words "tradition" and "predictions."  We reviewed the months of the year and learned that they are shared equally between the 4 seasons, so we knew no matter if the ground hog saw his shadow or not spring would not really come earlier.  We did take this opportunity to experiment with light and shadows.  The students enjoyed making their own shadows at center time.
